Prof. (Dr.) Jai M. Paul is a distinguished academician and seasoned professional with an extensive career spanning over two decades. As a Professor at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, from October 1998 to May 2023, he exhibited unwavering dedication to academic leadership, contributing significantly to department and faculty management. His commitment to fostering positive and productive learning environments for students was evident in his role, where he continually updated his subject knowledge and employed innovative teaching methods.
Before his tenure as a Professor, Dr. Jai M. Paul served as a CAD Faculty at CAD Design Systems, an Authorized Training Centre in Kochi, India, from August 1995 to October 1998. In this role, he not only delivered dependable academic leadership but also contributed to the evolution of practical and theoretical learning in the field of Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
In June 2023, Dr. Paul assumed the role of Executive Director at ICCS College of Engineering and Management, Thrissur, showcasing his adaptability and leadership in steering academic institutions. His responsibilities extend beyond traditional academia, as he plays a pivotal role in shaping instructional practices through data-driven decision-making.
Dr. Jai M. Paul's proficiency in CAD is not only theoretical but also practical, as he used CAD software to create models and simulations for manufacturing teams. His versatile skill set includes expertise in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, STAAD Pro., PRIMAVERA, ERADAS, and ArcGIS, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of various tools essential for civil and environmental engineering.
Apart from his significant contributions to academia, Dr. Paul is a prolific researcher with numerous research papers published in reputed international and national journals. His research spans various aspects of civil and environmental engineering, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field.
Beyond academia, Dr. Jai M. Paul has actively participated in conferences, workshops, and short-term courses, contributing to his continuous professional development. He is a life member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) and the Institution of Engineers.
Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Dr. Paul has received numerous awards, including the FAS Award for meritorious achievement in research and education, the Best NSS Programme Officer award at both the district and state levels, and the Indira Gandhi NSS National Award for the best Programme Officer in India.
